bitmex ripple cryptic post - BitMEX’ Arthur Hayes Does Not Care if XRP is Ripple or “Dogshit”
BitMEX CEO, Arthur Hayes, does not give a damn what $XRPis called, his latest statement on the digital currency has shown.
Today, BitMEX announced the trading of a new perpetual swap on the $XRPtoken (XRPUSD) beginning from 5th February 2020.

“We at BitMEX are proud to announce that trading of a new perpetual swap on the $XRPtoken (XRPUSD) will begin at 0400 UTC on 5 February 2020,” BitMEX announced.

Foreseeing a possible criticism from some crypto enthusiasts, Hayes said he does not care what the digital token is called since it’s worth more than zero.
He said: “Is it called Ripple, $XRP, or dogshit? Who knows, who cares. It’s worth more than zero so it’s time to trade the USD pair on BitMEX. Boo-Yaka-sha!”
Several crypto experts have called $XRPdifferent names, claiming there is no difference between $XRPand Ripple.
Tone Vays Calls $XRPA Penny stock
The likes of Tone Vays have some discords to burry with Ripple Labs Inc., a firm Tone Vays accused of selling a scam crypto to investors. At different point Tone Vays has called $XRPa penny stock, worthless and not even necessary.
During an interview with BlockTV in May 2019, Vays criticized Ripple for selling a cryptocurrency that is not decentralized.
He said: “I’m not even sure why people consider Ripple a cryptocurrency. There’s nothing decentralised about Ripple. To me Ripple is just a stock of the Ripple corporation.”

Tone Vays’s condemnation of Ripple came after a columnist on Forbes raised some points regarding the centralization of $XRPcryptocurrency.
The Forbes columnist who also lambasted Ripple Labs Inc. after Ryan Zagone, teh director of regulatory relations for Ripple, claimed the blockchain firm is not the creator of $XRP, questioned how Ripple got an enormous stake in $XRP, “over half of the available token”.
Ripple’s Clarification
Ripple had on several occasions clarified that it did not create $XRP, and that the digital currency had been in existence before Ripple Labs Inc. was created.
Ryan Zagone at some point explained that “$XRPis open source and it was not created by our company, so that existed as an open source technology.”
“We didn’t create $XRP…there’s not a direct connection between Ripple the company and $XRP,” he said at that time.
