Rakuten has announced support for XRP within the Rakuten Pay app, enabling its approximately 44 million users to pay with XRP at over 5 million merchants in Japan starting April 15. Users will also be able to perform spot trades of XRP through the Rakuten Pay app, purchase XRP using Rakuten Points, and store it in their Rakuten Wallet. Rakuten previously supported Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash.
