Prenetics Global Limited (NASDAQ: PRE) has announced plans to sell approximately 510 Bitcoin, aiming to complete the transaction by May 14. The sale is expected to generate around $40 million based on current prices. Following the sale, the company will cease holding Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. The proceeds will increase Prenetics' cash and financial assets to an estimated $145 million to $150 million. The company intends to use the funds to expand its stock buyback program by up to $40 million and to support the growth of its IM8 health business.
