FLock.io has been appointed as the exclusive technology partner for the Sarawak State AI Research Center's green sovereign AI initiative. The partnership, formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed in Manchester, UK, aims to develop a privacy-preserving AI infrastructure in Malaysia. FLock.io will focus on enabling AI models to be trained locally, minimizing the need for centralized data uploads or cross-border transfers. This initiative builds on FLock.io's previous deployment of a distributed AI infrastructure in Kuching, Sarawak's capital. Further discussions on AI policy and governance will take place in Cambridge and Oxford.
